The Practice Nurses hold daily clinic sessions between 8.30am and 12.00 noon and 2.00pm and 5-00 pm. Appointments can be made for smoking cessation, chronic disease management and advice, dressings, suture removal, ear syringing, injections, blood pressure checks, holiday vaccinations, cervical smears, well woman and well man checks, health screening and advice on lifestyle. New patients to the practice over the age of 5 years are offered a health check when they register.

Health Practitioners

Sister Louise Hammond (f)
Our Nurse Practitioner Louise Hammond is available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. She has had extra medical training so can prescribe medication. This means that she can treat you for minor illnesses, women's health, children's health and contraception issues.

Healthcare Assistants

Miss Charlotte Pulford

The healthcare assistant's role is to assist the GP and nurses to provide care. She can do a number of tasks, such as dressings, taking blood, ECGs, BPs etc. Charlotte will be working at the Elms Medical Centre on Tuesday morning and Friday all day, and at the Blacon Clinic on Tuesday afternoon.

Noticeboard

There has been a recent increase in cases of measles. If your child has not completed their two MMR vaccinations, please make arrangements for their vaccinations. If you or your child are un-immunised and are due to travel abroad, please contact the Practice Nurse to discuss.

GP Care Plus
Extended Opening is available to all patients to book a routine appointment outside of practice opening hours. This service can be found at the 1829 Building at the Countess of Chester Health Park

Out of Hours
Please ring 01244 385300. When the surgery is closed care is provided by GP’s and nurses employed by the Western Cheshire  Primary Care Trust and your doctor may not be on duty.

Home Visits
If you are too ill to attend surgery then please telephone 01244 351000 before 10-30am. State clearly the name and address of the patient and describe the symptoms. This helps the doctors to decide the urgency of the calls and plan their rounds.

Test Results
Please telephone between 11.30am and 5.00pm for the results of tests, x-rays etc.
